If you're ready to embark on an exciting adventure into the two-wheeled world, look no further. Rider's Edge® is Harley-Davidson's Academy of Motorcycling.

Combining the proven curriculum of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® and the excitement and passion of Harley-Davidson®, the Rider's Edge® New Rider Course offers unrivaled hands-on instruction that will bring your motorcycling dreams to life and give you the skills and confidence you need to get the most out of riding.

THE NEW RIDER COURSE
The Rider's Edge® New Rider Course is a mixture of classroom time and actual riding that delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson style. It's taught by experts certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and Rider's Edge® to provide top-notch instruction in a relaxed, fun environment. After passing a written test and a riding skills evaluation, you'll receive an official MSF RiderCourseSM Completion Card that may qualify you for discounts on motorcycle insurance, depending on the provider.

The course is conducted over four days, beginning on Thursday. All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the course will work with your schedule. Times are as follows:
Thursday: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Friday: 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Saturday: 7:00 am - 5:00 p.m.

Sunday: 7:00 am - 5:00 p.m.


The Thursday & Friday evening sessions will be comprised of classroom work in the Eastern Shore Harley-Davidson dealership. Saturday and Sunday, you will spend most the day on the range, putting into practice the skills you studied in class. Range work will be conducted at Eastern Shore Harley-Davidson. Testing and graduation take place late Sunday.
To take the course, you need: To know how to ride a bicycle A valid automobile driver's license or learner's permit, jeans, over-the-ankle boots or shoes, motorcycle gloves,a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket & a helmet.
You will be riding a 492CC Buell® Blast® — a responsive, mid-weight streetbike that's easy to handle and rider-friendly. But make no mistake, the Blast® is a real-world bike that can take you as far as you want to go.

The New Rider Course costs $225 per person.
